you, right now.

It’s late. The kids are finally asleep.
You’re sitting on the couch, phone in hand, scrolling through images that don’t quite feel like you.
You know your work has heart, but something’s missing.

You’re not here for quick tips or magic presets.
You want depth. You want direction.
You want to take control of the way you shoot, how you show up, and where this whole photography thing is headed.

Because it’s not just a camera you’re holding.
It’s a story: yours, theirs, and everything in between.

A family composed of a man, woman, and child playing joyfully on a sidewalk in a leafy suburban neighborhood, near a street sign for Sheridan Ave. The child is being lifted playfully by the man. The trees are lush and green, indicating a summer or spring setting.

enter - us.

This isn’t a course. It’s a 3-month creative overhaul.

Inside, you’ll find:

My Family Photography workshop – Not just how I shoot, but why I shoot the way I do. Every module builds on the last, like a well-edited sequence.

The Onboarding Guide – My exact client flow. Scripts. Emails. Boundaries. Confidence. It’s the behind-the-scenes of how I run sessions before even shooting and stay sane.

2 Live Q&A Calls – Real questions. Honest answers. you ask, I dive in.

Portfolio Review – Your work, through my eyes. Where the story lands. Where it gets lost. And how to bring it into sharper focus.

This isn’t one-size-fits-all.

It’s me, walking beside you. Not shouting from a stage, but sitting across from you, saying:
"Let’s take what you already do—and make it stronger."

the turn

Somewhere between week five and six, something shifts.

You stop second-guessing your edits.
You start noticing light like it’s part of the scene.
You show up to sessions with less doubt, more direction.

You’re not just delivering galleries.
You’re creating work.

And it feels good.

what comes next

The door is open.
You just need to walk through it.

If you're ready to stop piecing it all together alone
If you're done wondering if you're doing it right
If you're craving mentorship that actually sees you

meet your instructor: maggie

Hey, I’m Maggie. Photographer, educator, wife, and mom of TWO. I’ve spent over a decade behind the lens, capturing families in all their beautifully ordinary chaos—and learning, the hard way, how to run a business that doesn’t run me.

After 10+ years in this industry, I wanted to build something that felt different. Not another course you buy and forget. Not content you consume and never implement. The Edit was born from everything I wish I had earlier: an interactive, hands-on way to refine your work, your systems, and the way you see.

I believe real growth happens through feedback, conversation, and connection—not in a vacuum. So that’s what this is. Not just tutorials, but real-time support. Not just theory, but practice. Not just me talking : you building.

Whether you're juggling shoots and school pick-ups or wondering what the heck to say in a client email : I get it. I've lived it. And I'm here to walk through it with you.

FAqS

  • This is for family photographers who are ready to go deeper—whether you're just a couple years in or more established but craving refinement. If you want more clarity in how you shoot, serve clients, and present your work, you're in the right place.

  • No problem. All calls will be recorded and uploaded to your portal within 24 hours. You can also submit questions ahead of time if you know you’ll miss it.

  • Expect around 2–3 hours per week, depending on how deep you want to go. This includes watching course videos, applying what you’re learning, and engaging with feedback. Everything is self-paced, but we move together as a group.

    • My full family photography course (broken down step-by-step)

    • My onboarding guide and client systems

    • 2 live group Q&A sessions

    • A 1:1 portfolio review with personalized feedback

  • Both. We'll dive into camera settings, light, and post-production—but also explore voice, storytelling, and the "why" behind your work. The goal is to strengthen not just what you do, but how you see.

  • Nope. You don’t need a perfect website or 100 galleries. You just need a foundation—and a willingness to grow.

  • Yes. This is the heart of the program. You’ll receive a full portfolio review from me, plus the option to ask anything during our two live Q&As. I’m not just here to teach—I’m here to walk through it with you.

  • You’ll get access to the Onboarding Guide forever as it is a PDF download. You’ll have access to the family course for the life of my education platform! (Which is nowhere in the near future!) The live calls and portfolio review are during the 3-month intensive, but the education stays with you long after.
