This is where your work sharpens

your confidence builds,

and your voice gets louder.

A hands-on, no-fluff program for family photographers ready to refine their work, streamline their process, and grow with intention.

Family outside Whitety's Ice Cream shop, with a man, two young girls, and a woman, enjoying ice cream cones.
A young girl with curly hair and a striped jumpsuit standing under a weeping willow tree, smiling and pointing towards the camera in a park-like setting.

You’re sitting on the couch, phone in hand, scrolling through images that don’t quite feel like you.
You know your work has heart, but something’s missing.

You’re not here for quick tips or magic presets.
You want depth. You want direction.
You want to take control of the way you shoot, how you show up, and where this whole photography thing is headed.

Because it’s not just a camera you’re holding.
It’s a story: yours, theirs, and everything in between.

A woman carrying a young girl in a pink dress, another woman lifting a blonde child, all outdoors in a field during daytime.
A family of four walking on a wooden deck outdoors near a body of water with boats and city buildings in the background during daytime. The mother is carrying a young girl, and an older girl in a blue jacket and striped skirt is walking nearby.

meet your instructor: maggie

Hey, I’m Maggie. Photographer, educator, wife, and mom of TWO. I’ve spent over a decade behind the lens, capturing families in all their beautifully ordinary chaos—and learning, the hard way, how to run a business that doesn’t run me.

After 10+ years in this industry, I wanted to build something that felt different. Not another course you buy and forget. Not content you consume and never implement. The Edit was born from everything I wish I had earlier: an interactive, hands-on way to refine your work, your systems, and the way you see.

I believe real growth happens through feedback, conversation, and connection—not in a vacuum. So that’s what this is. Not just tutorials, but real-time support. Not just theory, but practice. Not just me talking : you building.

Whether you're juggling shoots and school pick-ups or wondering what the heck to say in a client email : I get it. I've lived it. And I'm here to walk through it with you.

A young woman with blonde hair, wearing a black sleeveless top, is smiling broadly and holding her hair back with both hands.

FAqS

  • This is for family photographers who are ready to go deeper—whether you're just a couple years in or more established but craving refinement. If you want more clarity in how you shoot, serve clients, and present your work, you're in the right place.

  • No problem. All calls will be recorded and uploaded to your portal within 24-48 hours. You can also submit questions ahead of time if you know you’ll miss it.

  • Expect around 2–3 hours per week, depending on how deep you want to go. This includes watching course videos, applying what you’re learning, and engaging with feedback. Everything is self-paced, but we move together as a group.

    • My full family photography course (broken down step-by-step)

    • My onboarding guide and client systems

    • 3 live group Q&A sessions

    • An optional add on 1:1 portfolio review with personalized feedback

  • Both. We'll dive into camera settings, light, and post-production—but also explore voice, storytelling, and the "why" behind your work. The goal is to strengthen not just what you do, but how you see.

  • Nope. You don’t need a perfect website or 100 galleries. You just need a foundation—and a willingness to grow.

  • Yes. This is the heart of the program. You’ll have the option to have a 1:1 call, to ask anything during our three live Q&As and a community group where I’ll be actively checking for questions and help!

  • You’ll get access to the Onboarding Guide forever as it is a PDF download. You’ll have access to the family course for one year after starting The Edit. The live calls and 1:1 call are only available during the 3-month intensive.

  • Live calls are held on the last week of the month on a weekday morning. Typically around 9am central. If you can’t make it - just submit your questions ahead of time and watch the recording :)
